About me

I’ve been blowing glass for about 10 years now. I used to be a glass collector back in college and i was mesmerized by the art. I had a good friend that was opening a head shop in town and he was going to make it have a glassblowing studio attached. I was very interested on the process of pipemaking and the art that went along with it. I was a collector of glass myself. So as he was building out the studio i ask a lot of questions on where i could get my own equipment and get started on my own. I couldn’t even wait for the studio to be finished i went ahead and got started on the porch of my small apartment, no kiln and no ventilation just torch and gases outside on the porch with minimal tools. I was hooked immediately, i dropped out of business school and ended up moving out to Denver Colorado to follow my dream of glassblowing. I began to work at the “Bread box” Eboxglass’ studio in Fort Collins as we had mutual friends from Jacksonville since he is originally from there. The influence was great and energy was always positive but the commute was a little far for my liking so after a year or two or getting to know Denver more i found an opening at the “worm hole” Wormglass’ studio in Denver Colorado much closer to where i lived. I stayed at that studio for about 4 years until it finally shut down which was such a sad moment considering it was  such an amazing collection of artists. Nowadays I work at my own studio my garage where im currently living in northern VA
